We ensure writing is progressive throughout school and builds on prior learning through our long term framework. We believe that writing is a process and that this process should teach why all of the different aspects of writing are important linked to a clear purpose.

In addition to all of these resources we have a clear framework to show the progression in sentence types, grammar structures and spelling that the children will learn. These documents are available from school should you wish to see what a specific genre of writing looks like for your child’s year.
